    Principles of Couples Therapy for Substance Use Disorders

    COURSE LENGTH: 3 hours In this clinical training, principles of Couples Therapy are derived from the Foundations of Systemic Family Therapy for Substance Use Problems (TIP 39 Curriculum) and are emblematic of a trans developmental approach. The techniques demonstrated emerge from evidence-based couples therapy for SUD (Behavioral Couples Therapy) and the techniques embedded in other evidence based family therapy protocols for SUD. This training fulfills 3 clock hour credit toward NY CASAC and NY Social Work Continuing Education.

    Treatment Planning for Clinicians

    COURSE LENGTH: 1.5 hours

    In this clinical training, Part 822 Outpatient Counselors will learn how to effectively integrate treatment planning as part of their counseling sessions, as well as strategies for documenting treatment planning in the patient’s case record. NYS OASAS is hopeful that this training module will help clinical staff provide effective person-centered treatment planning as part of their routine counseling sessions with their patients, as well as comply with the Part 822 regulatory requirements.
    This training fulfills 1.5 clock hour credit toward CPP/CPS initial, CASAC/CPP/CPS renewals and NYS Education Dept. Social Work Continuing Education.
